Cowboys Rumors: Dallas Considering Moving Byron Jones to CB from Safety

Byron Jones may soon be lining up at cornerback full-time.

According to ESPN.com's Todd Archer, the Dallas Cowboys "are considering using Jones at cornerback again" because new secondary coach Kris Richard, who was recently fired by the Seattle Seahawks, prefers corners with greater size.

A 2015 first-round draft pick, Jones moved between corner and safety as a rookie before assuming starting responsibilities at safety the last two seasons.

In 2017, Jones played a team-high 87.08 percent of the Cowboys' defensive snaps while starting all 16 games.
