After returning to the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year deal, veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott is set to have a fresh look.
Per ESPN's Todd Archer, Elliott will not be returning to his original No. 21 that he wore during his first run in Dallas from 2016 to 2022. Instead, he will be taking the No. 15 that he wore last season with the New England Patriots and during his collegiate career at Ohio State.
Elliott's switch meant that quarterback Trey Lance needed a new number, and he chose No. 19:
Elliott appeared in all 17 games in a backup role for the Patriots in 2023 and rushed for career-lows of 642 yards and three touchdowns.
