Cowboys DE Damontre Moore Reportedly Suspended for Substance Abuse Violation

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Friday that Dallas Cowboys defensive end Damontre Moore was suspended two games for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

The Cowboys signed Moore this offseason after he spent part of the 2016 campaign with the Seattle Seahawks.

The New York Giants selected Moore in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft out of Texas A&M, but he was released in the midst of his third season with the team due to a reported argument with then-teammate Cullen Jenkins over headphones.

Moore played three games for the Miami Dolphins late in the 2015 season, signed with the Oakland Raiders during the offseason and was released again before signing with the Seahawks.
