With all the doubters surrounding FS1’s “Speak for Yourself,” it was important for Jason Whitlock and Colin Cowherd to make a good first impression with TV viewers. They did, with Whitlock nailing a key dynamic of Game 5 of the NBA Finals at the top of the show.
During the first segment on the show’s premiere Monday night, Whitlock and Cowherd debated whether the cocky Warriors, holding a 3-1 series lead, were “disrespecting” LeBron James. With a nod toward Omar from his favorite show “The Wire,” Whitlock warned Klay Thompson and other trash-talking Warriors were making a big mistake with King James.
