A source told Garafolo and Schrager that the injury "may not be as bad as originally thought."
The Raiders spent a third-round pick on the tight end out of Miami in 2015, and his rookie year didn't get off to the best start. According to Jimmy Durkin of the East Bay Times, Walford missed 12 of Oakland's first 14 training camp practices, which limited his ability to get reps in Bill Musgrave's offense.
