The CEO of the airline involved in the plane crash that killed nearly every member of the Chapecoense soccer team has been arrested, according to The Guardian.
Gustavo Vargas, the CEO of the Bolivian airline LaMia, and two of his employees were detained on Tuesday by Bolivian prosecutors, who will decide whether they should be held in jail.
Bolivian attorney general Ramiro Guerrero said the investigation could "easily turn into a manslaughter case" as the prosecutor's office seeks to determine whether the detainees could be charged with criminal failure to follow safety procedures.
The plane reportedly ran out of fuel and went into electrical failure before the crash, which killed 71 of the people on board.
