SHIPPENSBURG — Central Valley’s Tyler Ondrusek finished off his illustrious high school athletic career as the standout senior captured bronze in the shot put with a throw of 58-7.25 at the 2025 PIAA Track and Field Championships marking his best finish at the state meet in his career.
"It is an amazing feeling to be able to place in third place at states," Ondrusek said. "Last year I struggled and didn't even make states so to come here this year and place in third especially with the great competition, I am happy."
Ondrusek was 1.25 inches off the gold medalist Dino Nadarevic from Gateway and just a quarter of an inch short of silver after Grove City Area sophomore's DeLathian Boanes' final throw went 58-7.
