BOSTON — Jayson Tatum (wrist) will miss the first playoff game of his career on Wednesday night when the Celtics take on the Magic in Game 2 of their first round series. The All-Star forward was originally listed as doubtful by the team on the injury report Tuesday but was downgraded an hour before tip.
“I know he’s doing everything he can to put himself in a position to play,” Joe Mazzulla said before Game 2. “Just going to take it day-to-day.”
Tatum suffered a bone bruise in his right wrist in the fourth quarter of Game 1 when he landed hard on the court after a flagrant foul by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
