On Thursday in Nashville, a Tennessee Titans team that has pitched and lurched its way through a wildly uneven season faced a must-win game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Titans got that win—in emphatic fashion, no less—complements of a record-setting performance from tailback Derrick Henry. The win kept the Titans in the Wild Card hunt in the AFC at 7-6, as well as providing Tennessee's bottom-five offense with a desperately-needed shot of adrenaline.
The question now is whether the Titans happened upon something in Week 14—came upon a new offensive fulcrum that will lead to a late surge that gets the Titans into the playoffs for a second straight season.
