CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers will likely be without MVP quarterback Cam Newton Monday night, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to change anything on offense with Derek Anderson under center.
“We just keep going forward. We game-plan the way we normally do,” Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Thursday. “Everything that we put in is put into the game plan and he can run everything.
“It makes game planning simple for the coaches, not having to set up two difference game plans.”
Anderson made two starts for an injured Newton in 2014 and both came against the Buccaneers.
