Broncos will reportedly place franchise tag on Von Miller

The Broncos are just hours away from competing against the Panthers in Super Bow 50. But before that, they decided to lock up one of their best players.

Linebacker Von Miller, who has 60 sacks in five seasons in Denver, is set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. But NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Denver will use its franchise tag on Miller and try to work out a long-term deal during the offseason.

It wasn't an easy decision for the Broncos, because up-and-coming quarterback Brock Osweiler also is an impending free agent and Peyton Manning will likely retire.
