GOODYEAR, Ariz. — The basketball star Brittney Griner and her fiancée and fellow W.N.B.A. player, Glory Johnson, were arrested on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct on Wednesday after a fight at their home.
Griner and Johnson, both 24, were booked into jail in Phoenix after their arrests and later released. Agents for the players did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Thursday.
Officers arrested Griner, who plays for the Phoenix Mercury, and Johnson, of the Tulsa Shock, after a fight between the couple turned physical, said a Goodyear police spokeswoman, Lisa Kutis.
