Arkansas coach Bret Bielema has never been afraid to speak his mind, even when it's about his team's rivalry trophy.
Bielema wasn't exactly complimentary about the aesthetic of the Golden Boot, awarded to the winner of the annual Arkansas-LSU game.
"It kind of looks like a bad neck chain from the '80s," Bielema said Wednesday on the weekly Southeastern Conference coaches' teleconference (via theadvocate.com). "It's a little gaudy. It's a little big. But it's gold-plated."
The trophy has been awarded to the winner every season since 1996, with LSU holding a 12-8 series lead since its introduction.
