BREAKING: Wisconsin basketball beats several top programs for Portland transfer center

Wisconsin basketball landed a commitment from Portland transfer center Austin Rapp on Friday night.

The Badgers notably beat out finalists Michigan, Iowa, Clemson and Oregon to do so. He is the program's second transfer commitment of the offseason, following Virginia guard Andrew Rohde.

Rapp transfers to Madison after a breakout freshman season in 2024-25. He notched per-game averages of 33 minutes, 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks while shooting 39.7% from the field and 35.2% from 3, plus was named West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year.
