Brady appeals 'Deflategate' suspension

Los Angeles (AFP) - Tom Brady will fight his four-game NFL suspension for his role in the "Deflategate" scandal, the NFL Players Association said Thursday filing an appeal on behalf of the New England Patriots' superstar quarterback.

In confirming it had filed an appeal, the players' union called for an independent arbitrator to hear the case, rather than National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell.
