Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has shared his thoughts on Dean Huijsen’s high-profile switch to Real Madrid, confirming that the young defender was always set on the move.
Speaking openly about the summer transfer, Iraola made it clear that the decision was entirely Huijsen’s and that he holds no hard feelings over the exit.
Huijsen, a 20-year-old Spanish centre-back, became the first official signing of the summer for Real Madrid and is expected to be part of Xabi Alonso’s plans for the future.
The club activated his €58 million release clause, agreeing to pay the amount in three instalments.
