Boston Celtics' urged to re-tool their roster ahead of next season

Heading into the 2025-26 season, the Boston Celtics will be faced with a brutal luxury tax bill. The current iteration of the roster is going to cost approximately $500 million once everything is factored in. Brad Stevens and the front office could likely justify that price tag when the Celtics were seen as perennial contenders, however, following Jayson Tatum's Achilles injury, that likely isn't the case for next season.

As such, Stevens is expected to make sweeping changes to the roster. It's clear that Boston's core is getting older and may be in need of some fresh talent.
