It was not just the players suiting up for the Boston Celtics who were upset about the team dropping Game 1 of their 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals second round series against the New York Knicks on Monday (May 5) night at their own home court of TD Garden. Fans of the team were also quite vocal about their disappointment of the Celtics losing a winnable home game against a ball club Boston swept in the 2024-25 NBA regular season.
And given the Celtics were up by as much as 20 in this game (and the fact that the Celtics missed an NBA-record 45 attempts from beyond the arc), they certainly had a good reason to be irked with how the contest ended up going.
