Boston Celtics confirm Jayson Tatum Achilles injury

It's official, Jayson Tatum has suffered a torn right Achilles Tendon. The Boston Celtics confirmed the injury via a press release on Tuesday, May 13. Boston also confirmed Tatum had undergone successful surgery to repair the tear but stopped short of providing a timeline for his recovery and potential return to the rotation.

Tatum suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of the Celtics' game four loss to the New York Knicks on Monday, May 12. Unfortunately for Boston, they don't have any time to come to terms with losing their star player. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, May 14, for game five, which will take place back at the TD Garden.
