Blue Jays Roundup: Golf opens the season in Dickinson

DICKINSON — All in all, Friday was not a bad day to be out golfing.

The Blue Jays placed eighth out of 11 competing teams at their season opening competition in Dickinson. Jamestown shot a collective 356. Bismarck Century won the season opener with a 319. Quinn Shillingstad of St. Mary's shot a two-under 70 to take home top honors. Head coach Don Walz and company will be back in action on Tuesday at the Century/Legacy Invite at Riverwood Golf Course in Bismarck. Golfers are set to tee off at 10 a.m.
