Blue Jays 8, Rangers 4: Toronto’s Dynamic Bats Re-Emerge to Pound Texas and Force Game 5

ARLINGTON, Tex. — Toronto’s offense, the most productive in Major League Baseball this year, had been uncharacteristically quiet over the first two games of the Blue Jays’ division series with the Texas Rangers, leading to two unusual losses.

But a good showing in Game 3 here Sunday led to a complete breakout in Game 4, and because of that, the series will shift back to Canada for a decisive Game 5 on Wednesday.

The Blue Jays swatted two home runs in the first inning and one more in the second on their way to an 8-4 rout.
