Bengals rookie Shemar Stewart remains out with contract dispute

The standoff between the Cincinnati Bengals and first-round pick Shemar Stewart continues.

Stewart remains out of practice as the Bengals continue voluntary work in Cincinnati.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway, Stewart wants his contract language to match that of the team’s last two first-round picks.

The apparent hiccup, then, is the fact that Stewart was the 17th pick this year, while Amaris Mims (No. 18) and Myles Murphy (No. 28) were drafted later.
