BEREA, Ohio — Terrelle Pryor used to be a quarterback. Now? He's a receiver.
Trying to salvage his career with the Cleveland Browns, the once-envisioned Cam Newton clone is learning the X position — the same split end duties aligned with stars like Calvin Johnson, Dez Bryant and Julio Jones.
Pryor, chiseled at 6-4 and 235 pounds, certainly looks as though he could become a monster target. With long strides, he runs a 4.41 40. His offseason regimen included being taken to school by the great Randy Moss. And he now has a receiver’s number, 87.
Yet as Pryor visited with me on the practice field Sunday, he had a quarterback flashback.
