Bears Trade for Steelers Wide Receiver Chase Claypool, per Report

The Steelers received a future second-round pick in exchange for Claypool, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

The move comes as a bit of a surprise as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported just a few days ago that the Steelers were unlikely to trade Claypool unless the trade offer was “perfect.”

Claypool leaves a 2–6 Pittsburgh team to join the 3–5 Bears. The 24-year-old will become one of Chicago quarterback Justin Fields’s key offensive weapons.

Through eight games this season, the wide receiver has 32 reception on 50 targets for 311 yards and one touchdown.
