Bears Running Back David Montgomery Leaves Practice With Groin Injury

Breaking news out of Chicago where running back David Montgomery was helped off the field with what head coach Matt Nagy is saying is a groin injury. Montgomery was injured during the first portion of Wednesday’s practice which was open to the media. BearsDigest editor Gene Chamberlain was at the Bears practice and confirmed Montgomery was assisted off the field and didn't get on a cart until he was on the sidelines. Chamberlain suggests the cart was used because of the distance from the practice field to the training facility is about 300 yards.

There’s no official word yet on the severity of the strain but Sports Illustrated will continue to update this story as more details are released.
