Bears GM Ryan Poles, HC Ben Johnson sound off on Joe Thuney extension

The Chicago Bears locked down a key part of their offensive line signing guard Joe Thuney to a two-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday.

The Bears acquired Thuney in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a 2026 fourth-round pick. He had just one year left on his current deal, which made signing him to an extension a priority this offseason.

"We are looking forward to Joe being a member of the Chicago Bears for the years ahead," said general manager Ryan Poles, via ChicagoBears.com.
