Barcelona forward speaks out after ending goal drought – ‘I needed time to…’

Robert Lewandowski finally reached a personal milestone against Athletic Club, scoring his 100th and 101st goals for Barcelona in their final La Liga match of the 2024/25 season.

It was a moment the Polish striker had been chasing for weeks, having gone without a goal since his brace against Borussia Dortmund in early April during the Champions League quarter-finals.

The long wait came down to bad luck and timing. A minor injury kept Lewandowski out for part of the campaign and broke the rhythm he had built up.

But in the final match against Athletic Club, he was back on the scoresheet, reminding fans of his quality.
