Astros Shove Aside the Yankees and Head to the World Series

The Houston Astros are headed to the World Series for only the second time in franchise history after beating the Yankees, 4-0, in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series on Saturday at Minute Maid Park.

Greg Bird was out at home plate after a perfect throw from Astros third baseman Alex Bregman to catcher Brian McCann in the top of the fifth inning.

The Yankees, who reached the postseason as a wild-card team, pushed the Astros to the limit by winning Games 3, 4 and 5 in the Bronx, leaving them just one victory from their 41st pennant.
