Asante Samuel is thrilled the Los Angeles Chargers hired Jim Harbaugh for one primary reason.
He isn't Bill Belichick.
The former NFL defensive back discussed the Chargers' decision with former NFL defensive end Elton Patterson on their YouTube show Say What Needs To Be Said. Samuel's perspective is particularly notable because his son, Asante Samuel Jr., is a cornerback for the Chargers.
"I had to play it off for a long time ... but the time is over now," Samuel said of the chance Los Angeles would hire Belichick. "I did not want that to happen.
