The Athletics picked up a new everyday left fielder Friday, acquiring Khris Davis from the Brewers for two prospects.
Milwaukee landed right-handed pitcher Bowdien “Buddy” Derby and catcher Jacob Nottingham in the deal.

Davis, 28, batted .247/.323/.505 with 27 home runs and 66 RBIs in 121 games last season. In 2014, his first full season in the bigs, he belted 22 homers in 144 games.

The addition of Davis will likely move Coco Crisp back to center field in a platoon with Billy Burns or into a fourth-outfielder role.
