LONDON – Andy Dalton’s development into becoming a top-tier NFL quarterback is evident.
It’s what has gone on behind the scenes in Cincinnati that has Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis just as pleased entering Sunday’s game against Washington in London.
Lewis asked Dalton to assume a different type of leadership role this year than in his previous five NFL seasons, holding teammates even more accountable to put in the same kind of work that Dalton does to succeed.
“He is a young person who wants to please all the time,” Lewis told Sporting News Friday, following a Bengals walk-through practice.
