As a 21-year-old rookie, Albert Pujols made it clear to the baseball world that he was going to mash for a very long time. He hit his first career home run on April 6, 2001, and hasn't looked back since.
Now, 573 dingers later, Pujols is still mashing. Last week, he passed Harmon Killebrew for 11th on the all-time home run list with his 14th of the season. While his current overall numbers are among the worst in his career, the 36-year-old first baseman/designated hitter is on pace to hit more than 30 homers this year, barring injury.
