Agent: Amar'e Stoudemire had offers from non-playoff teams

Amar'e Stoudemire retired last week, and signed with Hapoel Jerusalem to finish his basketball career. Stoudemire finishes his NBA career at age 33. Knee injuries had robbed him of what made him an MVP candidate in 2010 and one of the most dominant offensive players of the 2000's.

But Stoudemire was still helpful to the Heat last season, and surprisingly productive on the boards and the defensive end. Was there really no other team that wanted to take a flyer on him? His agent told ESPN that several NBA teams made a pitch for Stoudemire, but that none was a playoff team.
