It was a bit sloppy Wednesday but everyone was still hopeful of good weather at the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson. But Mother Nature had other ideas Friday.
At 9:46 a.m. local time (10:46 a.m. ET), play was suspended early in the second round at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.
Subsequent updates kept the delay in effect, as they were not only dark clouds overhead but lightning.
Finally, at 3:12 p.m. local time, PGA Tour officials announced the second round was resume at 4 p.m. (5 p.m. ET) with 78 golfers still to start their second rounds.
