DENVER – After the Denver Broncos' 19-13 defensive slugfest win against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, are we really supposed to believe these teams are supposed to be AFC contenders?
Their defenses, maybe. But these offenses? Maybe Sunday was some sort of NFL Bizzaro World. A place where guys like Marcus Mariota and Tyrod Taylor toss touchdown after touchdown while guys like Peyton Manning and Joe Flacco can’t find the end zone. Except of course, when throwing to the opposite team after each quarterback had an interception returned for a touchdown.
These are two quarterbacks who have each won a Super Bowl MVP award and have signed $100 million contracts, yet they are playing on teams that, at least to start the season, have some significant offensive questions.
