The thing about working in sports media is that you’re stuck in this insular cocoon of back-patting and groupthink, which casts your as an ignorant outsider if you don’t think Roger Goodell is considered evil, Tom Brady is just a poor, unfortunate soul who was circumstantially slandered by the Wells Report and Rooger Goodell is considered evil (yeah, you have to mention it twice). But much like the Washington press corps, which believes that the masses care about campaign finance reform and the machinations of Senate filibusters, the average American has a far different opinion than the press.
