3-point shooting on the rise in college hoops

During his freshman year of high school, Max Hooper made 10-of-18 three-pointers in a game. He played 18 minutes.

Hooper hasn’t stopped shooting since.

This season, the Oakland graduate senior has taken 229 shots. He’s made 102 of them. Every single attempt has been a 3-pointer.

“I’m playing my role,” he told Sporting News. “I’m not intentionally not shooting twos, but I know my role is to hug the 3-point line. We’ve got some really effective guys that get to the rim.
