Columbia (S.C.) Ridge View 2026 cornerback Jordyn Best already had a family connection to West Virginia and now holds a scholarship offer from the program.
Best, 5-foot-11, 180-pounds, is cousins with 2025 signee Chamarryus Bomar and it was his father that initiated contact with the Mountaineers sending his film to cornerbacks coach Rod West.

From there West reached out to Best and got to know him before giving him the good news.
“He told me a little bit about West Virginia and then offered,” he said.
West has made it clear that he is impressed with his film especially with his speed and how he could be a good fit for what the Mountaineers want to do on the defensive side of the ball.
