They’ve missed the playoffs over the previous 16 seasons, which came after picking up two World Series titles (1997 and 2003) in the team first 11 years in baseball. Miami doesn’t have any other postseason appearances in the team’s 27-year history.
In 2020, the Marlins made some changes to the dimensions of their ballpark. Their field will now have a synthetic turf instead of natural grass while the fences in centerfield and right centerfield have been moved in by 12 feet.
