GROVEPORT – The Lancaster softball team understands fully what is ahead of them, and facing Thomas Worthington in a Division I district final on May 22 was another step in their journey.
The Lady Gales have been down this road before. They defeated the Cardinals 9-0 on Thursday at Groveport and did it in workmanlike fashion to take home their third district championship in the last four years.
The senior group has certainly left their mark on the program – Thursday’s victory was their 100th win in the last four years, and it was Allie Kinniard’s 100th victory as head of the Gales - but one thing is missing and that is a trip to the final four.
