This Olympic Sprinter Was Too Injured To Continue A Race, Then His Father Did Something Incredible

This is the incredible heart-warming story of Great Britain's Derek Redmond, a 400m sprinter who had finally reached his dream of competing in the 1992 Olympics in Barcalona.

Redmond had dropped out of the 1988 Olympics due to an Achilles injury, leaving this as his last opportunity to get an Olympic medal.

Unfortunately, his hamstring snapped during the 1992 race, but he was determined to finish the event.

What followed was one of the most inspiring moments in sports history, courtesy of his father.
