Stanton Weber arrived at the University of Toledo with next to no knowledge about the history of the football program.
He brushed up on the not-too-distant past by watching film of last season. One of the first things that caught his eye was placekicker Luke Pawlak.
“Before the kicking competition in the spring, I thought, ‘This Luke Pawlak kid isn’t afraid of the moment,’” said Weber, UT’s first-year special teams coordinator.
Pawlak, an all-state punter and all-Northern Lakes League kicker at Northview, made a grand introduction at Toledo last season following a year at Kent State and Montana State.
