Back to the Toledo Rockets Newsfeed

With hopes of conference title gone, Toledo football focused on big picture

As Toledo football fell 27-24 to Ball State on Saturday, picking up their second loss of the year, the Rockets not only dropped a heartbreaker, but were eliminated from Mid-American Conference title contention.

Elsewhere in the West Division, Western Michigan topped Northern Illinois to improve to 4-0. Even if the Broncos lost their last two games and Ball State (3-1) dropped one more, both teams would hold the tiebreaker over the Rockets in the standings.

“It's about the response,” head coach Jason Candle said Monday at his weekly press conference. “It's not about just what happened, it's about getting back up and going and playing for one another and really buying into the process of what this looks like.
