The 90th edition of the Battle of I-75 will have a new look for the first time in six years, and Toledo is more motivated than ever to make a rivalry statement on the road.
The Rockets will face first-year Bowling Green State University head coach Eddie George on Saturday. For Toledo head coach Jason Candle, his team’s mentality is the same regardless of who is on the sidelines.
“Winning any conference football game on the road is the hardest thing to do,” Candle said. “It's not the comfort of your own home, it's not a home field advantage, it's not your crowd, so even though you're only going 30 miles down the road, we have to handle it better than what we have to this point in time.
