The University of Toledo once again has a chance to bounce back at home after a frustrating defeat, and this time it’ll be on a national stage.

This will also be the final matchup between these two teams for the foreseeable future as Northern Illinois leaves the Mid-American Conference for the Mountain West Conference in 2026.

The Huskies come into this game having beaten Ball State 21-7 for their second MAC win of the season. Like Toledo, Northern Illinois has not won a road game. NIU is 17-35 against the Rockets all time.

Toledo head coach Jason Candle said despite their record, the Huskies know how to dictate the line of scrimmage, and they will test the Rockets’ defensive line after recording a season-high 318 total rushing yards in a 21-7 victory Oct.
