With Western Michigan locking in a spot in the Mid-American Conference championship game Tuesday, the other spot is up for grabs for four other teams, including the University of Toledo.
What the Rockets need to get in is simple — a win against Central Michigan and an Ohio or Miami (Ohio loss). Senior outside linebacker Jeremiah Peters said the goal this week is to just focus on the controllable.
“We just have to handle everything that we can handle in our facility,” Peters said. “Anything outside our facility is out of our control, so if we continue to work hard, wake up every morning, get to our destination, and we finish how we want to finish, we should get to our goal.
