TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo distance runner Vilde Henriksen was named this week's Mid-American Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.
Henriksen had a historic performance at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational last weekend, setting the school record in the 3,000m at 9:13.62. Her time crushed the previous UT record of 9:16.87 set by teammate Madeline Vining at the 2023 John Thomas Terrier Classic.
Henriksen's time ranks first in the Mid-American Conference and 58th in the NCAA Division I Indoor Qualifying List.
Toledo will close out the indoor regular season on Friday, Feb.
