University of Toledo junior DeDarallo Blue will hit your running back like a linebacker, but he will also cover your slot receiver in space like a nickel back.
He’ll line up at defensive end or as a traditional safety, but no matter where he is on the field, he will make his presence felt.
At 6-foot-0 and 220 pounds, Blue embodies everything the “Star” position — somewhat of a hybrid between a linebacker and a safety — demands in Toledo’s 4-2-5 defense.
“The Star position is the best position on the field,” Blue said. “It’s the most versatile because you have to play like a linebacker.
