UT quarterback battle continues on without fall season

If the 2020 college football season panned out as scheduled, on Saturday the University of Toledo would have played its first game of the year, a road contest against Tulsa.

That fact wasn’t lost on quarterback Eli Peters.

“We're supposed to be playing a game this Saturday,” Peters told The Blade in a phone interview. “It's funny I said that this morning to Carter [Bradley], DQ [Dequan Finn] and the rest of the QB room.”

In an alternate timeline, we would also already know who the Rockets’ starting quarterback is; but with the Mid-American Conference canceling its 2020 fall season on Aug.
