The Toledo men’s basketball program has its first commitment for the class of 2021.
The Rockets received a verbal commitment from forward Kooper Jacobi of Silver Creek High School in Sellersburg, Ind., just north of Louisville, Ky.
The 6-foot-6, 180-pound Jacobi picked UT over offers from Miami, Akron, Ball State, Towson, and Indiana State. He averaged 17.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game last season.
Jacobi is rated as the 15th best player in the state of Indiana, according to 247Sports. He made an official visit to Toledo in August and told The Blade he was impressed with the campus and basketball facilities.
